For this particular cosmetic treatment the pain level is considered minimal a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to numb the area prior to the treatment. Light pain or discomfort may occur, it is usually described as a small scratch when the needle is administered.

Fillers are not permanent. How long they last depends on many factors such as the type of filler used and your body's natural metabolism. They usually last anywhere between six and eighteen months.

Following dermal filler procedures, there may be some redness, injection site spots or bruising on the skin around areas of the face that were treated. These minor side effects will fade after a 2-3 days. However, the procedure do not require any significant recovery time.
